Ali Velshi is a popular Canadian television journalist. Apart from that, he is also, a senior economic and business correspondent for NBC News since October 2016. However, he is based in New York City. Currently, he is serving as a host of the weekend morning show titled Velshi. Basically, he is famous for serving at CNN as a chief business correspondent and anchor of CNN’s Your Money. Later on, he joined Al Jazeera America a channel that launched in August of that year. He also did worked for MSNBC since October 2016 before joining NBC.

So, he went to the U.S. in September 2001, joining the business news channel CNN in New York City. Furthermore, he anchored several shows, including Insights, Business Unusual, Street Sweep, and Your Money. Additionally, he co-hosted The Money Gang with Pat Kiernan before the network closed down in December 2004.
Reassigned to the main CNN network, he remained a business anchor and reporter posted initially to CNN’s early-morning program Daybreak. However, it was public on the 4th of April 2013, that he would be leaving CNN to join Al Jazeera America. He was to host a weekly 30-minute magazine-style prime-time program namely Real Money with Ali Velshi. So, he was the first on-air personality to be hired for the new channel.
Finally, he joined MSNBC in October 2016, with additional duties at MSNBC’s parent news division, NBC News, for which he serves as Business Correspondent. On May 29, 2020, MSNBC’s Ali Velshi was reporting from Minneapolis in the aftermath of the murder of George Floyd when he insisted he was seeing “mostly a protest” that “is not, generally speaking, unruly” despite the fact that he was standing in front of a burning building at the time.
