She is currently working at CBC News as one of the hosts of CBC Television’s consumer affairs newsmagazine series Marketplace. Asha is also a two-time Canadian Screen Award winner for winning the award at the 7th Canadian Screen Awards in the year 2019, for Best Host or Interviewer in a News, and Series for her work on Marketplace, and lastly in 2021 the 9th Canadian Screen Awards. Tomlinson is also the co-creator, co-producer, and host of the series, Being Black in Canada.
