Also prior to joining WAPT-TV, Ethen was working for WTOK-TV in Meridian, Mississippi, as a meteorologist. He also worked at WYTV-TV in Youngstown, Ohio, and WCPO-TV in Cincinnati part-time hours.
In addition, Huston is a college sports fan, who loves and enjoys both Mississippi State University and Ohio University Bobcats basketball, and Bulldogs football.
Furthermore, in 2013 Huston was entitled Best Weathercaster in the state of Mississippi by the Associated Press. He did receive Best Newscast awards from the Associated Press for multiple years alongside The 16 WAPT News team.
While continuing in 2010 the coverage of the deadly Yazoo City tornado did earn him and the 16 WAPT News team an Edward R. Murrow award. Above all, he does hold the National Weather Association Weathercaster Seal of Approval.
