Ginger after her graduation from college did work for numerous media outlets including WYIN-TV in Merrillville, Indiana, WEYI-TV in Flint, Michigan, WOOD-TV, WLAV-FM, WBMA-LD ABC 33/40 in Birmingham, Alabama as an intern under chief meteorologist James Spann, and WMAQ in Chicago, Illinois, an NBC owned and operated station.
During her work at WMAQ Ginger was once asked to fill as a guest meteorologist on the weekend edition of The Today Show from 2006 to 2011 and through the opportunity, she was given did fil her high school dream goal. At the same point, she is an AMS Certified Broadcast Meteorologist.
After joining Good Morning America Weekend in 2011 on the 12th of November, she became prominent nationally. Ginger on occasion appears on other ABC programs such as Nightline and also ABC World News Tonight.
Later in 2013 in December on 2nd ABC News did announce that she would become the Chief Meteorologist for Good Morning America together with being weather editor for ABC News.
