Katherine Anne Couric(Katie Couric) is an American presenter, author, producer, and journalist. Couric is the founder of Katie Couric Media, a multimedia news and production company. Additionally, she publishes a daily newsletter Wake Up Call. Katie was Yahoo’s Global News Anchor from the year 2013 to 2017. In her early career, Couric was an assignment editor for CNN and she has been a television host at all of the big three television networks in the United States. Furthermore, she did work for NBC News from 1989 to 2006 and later moved to CBS News from the year 2006 to 2011. After that, she did join ABC News from 2011 to 2014. However, in the year 2021, she did appear as a guest host for the game show Jeopardy!, and she was the first woman to host the flagship American version of the show in its history.

She began her career working at the ABC News bureau in Washington, D.C. in 1979 then later at CNN as an assignment editor. Furthermore, from 1984 to 1986, she did work as a general-assignment reporter for the then-CBS affiliate WTVJ in Miami, Florida.

Katie did join NBC News in the year 1989 as a Deputy Pentagon Correspondent. She was an anchor substitute from 1989 to 1991.
CBS News
After leaving NBC News in 2006 in the same year it was announced that she has joined CBS News. So becoming the new anchor and managing editor of CBS Evening News. In addition, Couric was also given a role to contribute to 60 Minutes and anchor prime-time news specials for CBS.
