After graduating from the University, Madryga later got a job at the training branch in Toronto, followed by a posting to the Pacific Weather Centre in Vancouver, where he was an Operational Meteorologist for Twenty years during this time he was working for Environment Canada where he spent eight months. That meant frequent around-the-clock shifts, producing a wide numerous of forecasts for many clients in many fields, such as aviation, marine, forestry, and highways.
His passion for prognostication and presenting weather later branched into tv on international BC (known as BCTV) in 1994 on the twelve noon News, once a footing for a specialist became obtainable. Mark then was very emotional over the weekend weather post in the fall of 1997. In Sep 2006, Mark joined the weekday Morning News team wherever he continues to relay the primary forecasts of the day to viewers.
Madryga is also a daily contributor to a large number of charity events throughout the year, including emcee duties for varieties of fundraising galas, luncheons and weekend walks.
