As detectives looked for three lab monkeys who did escape their enclosure and fled into the woods after the truck transporting them crashed in Central Pennsylvania, Marshall was on the scene. In addition to reporting the deadly 80-car pileup on Interstate 81 in Schuylkill County for three days, Marshall also covered a possible serial killer who was linked to murders in Michigan and Pennsylvania.

In addition to that, as he covered the Altoona area, Marshall’s first reports were broadcast on WJAC-TV in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. Marshall also did work as the weekend news presenter in Johnstown for a year in addition to reporting from Altoona.
