In addition, Bubala joined WBFF TV Fox45 in 2019 September. She has over 30 years experience of in journalism work, 20 years of which she spent working in Baltimore. Prior to joining WBFF TV Fox45, Mary did work at WJZ TV as a news reporter and anchor. Furthermore, she also worked for WMAR TV and WHTM TV in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

She went on to win NY State Broadcaster’s Outstanding Series. Then she was nominated for two regional Emmy awards in 2016 and was awarded one for Outstanding Anchor. After that, in 2014, 2017 & 2018, Mary was nominated for three regional Emmy awards for breaking news coverage.
Later in 2018, she was entitled one of The Daily Record’s Influential Marylanders, honoring leaders who work to improve our lives, our state, and our future. Additionally, Bubala is very active in the Baltimore community and also gives much of her time to non-profit groups and charities.
Bubala is a volunteer for Reading Partners and serves as an advocate and emcee for The Penn Mar Association, the American Diabetes Association, Catches A Lift, and the Kennedy Krieger Institute. In 2014, Mary and her husband rode in Johns Hopkins Hospital’s Ride to Conquer Cancer, a two-day, 150 miles cycling journey, and raised $25K for cancer research and care.
Bubala also emcees and runs in The BWC 5K and has completed the Baltimore Marathon and two half marathons raising money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training.
