Later in 2005, she became the presenter of breakfast radio on 702 ABC (now ABC Radio Sydney), after replacing Julie McCrossin. In addition, she has as well written for several publications, and also created and presented the Weekend Nightlife Show.
Above all, MacDonald co-presented a podcast, The Full Catastrophe, with author Rebecca Huntley, in which several people tell their own stories, including Frank Moorhouse, Larissa Behrendt, Susan Carland, and Jane Caro in August 2016 December.
