Her professional journey began in Flint, Michigan, where she took on the roles of anchor and reporter at WNEM. Tia delved into investigative journalism, covering stories related to an ethically questionable city home building project, the tragic and heinous case of four-year-old Dominick Calhoun’s murder, and even had the opportunity to report on former Vice President Joe Biden.
Afterward, She made the move to KTXL in Sacramento, California, initially therefore starting as a reporter. Within a few months, I was elevated to the positions of anchor and reporter. During her tenure at KTXL Fox 40, Ewing spent nearly one year as an evening anchor. It was during this time in Sacramento, in 2012, that she gained recognition as the “dancing anchor” after a viral moment where Tia showcased her dance moves during a commercial break. In 2015, She commenced a new chapter at WOIO in Cleveland, Ohio, where she worked as a morning anchor for at least 2 years.
