David Pujadas is a popular French news broadcaster, anchor, and journalist. He is currently the news presenter for TF1’s LCI daily news program, 24H Pujadas, which is held at 18:00 CET. Before that, at France 2 he was the anchorman for a weeknight newscast Le Journal de 20 Heures, at 20:00 CET, which was in both in Metropolitan France. He also did an anchor for these newscasts since September 2001, David did replace Claude Sérillon, on orders from Olivier Mazerolle, the new France 2 news director. During his work, David has traveled to the Middle East for interviews with Iranian and Syrian Presidents.

Pujadas began his school journey by attending the Lycée International de Ferney-Voltaire for high school. After graduating from high school he did join the University of Aix-Marseille and Sciences Po. He then also went on to join the 1998 Paris Centre for Journalist Training.
Career
The newscasts David presented were done over and over in Canada on TV5 Monde on weeknights at 18:30 North American Eastern Time, and also in Australia on SBS at 08:40 on weekdays. The France 2 flagship audience in the evening newscast in Metropolitan France, at 20 20%, was less than the 26% audience share garnered by Laurence Ferrari’s TF1 evening newscast.
After winning as a reporter the contest that was conducted by TF1, David was given the role of the foreign correspondent where he did cover the Gulf War in 1991, most notably the fall of Nicolae Ceausescu in Romania in 1989, and the siege of Sarajevo in 1992.
Later David also did present the morning news and the 23:00 news during the holidays of the regular presenters between 1992 and 1993.
After that, from 2005 to 2006, David presented “Le Contrat” which was the monthly political interview on the Parliamentary Channel. Pujadas also did host Madame, Monsieur, Bonsoir” weekly alongside Herve Chabalier on France 5 since February 2006.
In addition, Pujadas did present Des paroles et des actes during the 2012 French presidential election. it was a broadcast which did confront leaders with their public image, their possible strategies for campaigns, their economic program, and opposition politician.
Before that, he co-presented alongside Laurence Ferrari the televised debate between Nicolas Sarkozy and François Hollande. The show Des paroles et des actes did continue until 2016 after it was succeeded by L’Émission politique during the 2017 French presidential election.
