In 2015, he was criticized for his hostile attitude towards Shadow Business Secretary Chuka Umunna during an interview. For the 2019 general election, he hosted Sky News’ overnight coverage, entitled The Brexit Election. However, he presented the show alongside Sophie Raworth, Natasha Kaplinsky, Kate Silverton, Sian Williams, and Susanna Reid.
