Kathryn Mary Draper Garraway(Kate Garraway) is a well-known English broadcaster and journalist. However, Garraway was a journalist for ITV News Central and later a co-presenter of ITV News Meridian in the 1990s. In addition to that, she also worked at GMTV, where she served as a co-presenter from 2000 to 2010. Garraway is currently working as the presenter for the Mid Mornings with Kate Garraway on Smooth Radio and newsreader for the ITV Breakfast program Good Morning Britain.

Garraway’s father was a civil servant, while her mother was a teacher. Kate studied at Dunmore Primary School and Fitzharris School in Abingdon, a beautiful town in England. Later went to Bath College of Higher Education and graduated with a degree in English and History.

In 1989 went to work in the South edition of ITV News Central as a production journalist, reporter, and news presenter. Garraway then became co-presenter of the South East edition of ITV News Meridian on ITV Meridian.
Garraway got the promotion after she was “talent spotted” by a boss who viewed her presenting a three-minute bulletin on ITV Central. Later joined Sunrise on Sky News with Martin Stanford in 1998.
Later in 2000, she began to work at GMTV, co-presenting GMTV Today with Andrew Castle each Friday. Moreover, Kate presented one series of Too Many Cooks in 2004, and in 2007, she was the questioner on The People’s Quiz
On the other hand, Kate also served at The Biggest Loser for ITV in 2009, but later she was replaced by Davina McCall. Besides that, Kate has also worked as a frequent panelist on Wall of Fame, which was hosted by David Walliams.
Kate became the entertainment editor of Daybreak on ITV Breakfast in September 2010. However, Garraway took over from Christine Bleakley as the main presenter on an interim basis on 6th December 2011.

However, on the 3rd of March 2014, it was announced that the Daybreak Show was to be cancelled and then to be replaced with Good Morning Britain. On the 25th of April 2014 is when Kate hosted her last Daybreak and Lorraine shows, and after that, she was to join the Good Morning show that was to begin the following month.
Previously, Kate served as a presenter for The National Lottery Draws on BBC One, which was held from March 2014 and ended in November 2016. Besides that, Garraway also appeared at Cameo in Hollyoaks.
In November 2019, Garraway came fourth in the nineteenth series of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! Above all, Kate began her broadcasting career working for BBC Radio Oxford. However, in 1994, Kate had become an Independent Television News trainee journalist.
Kate also co-presented two episodes of ‘Weekend Breakfast’ in 2012. On 6 October 2013, she stood in for Andrew Castle for a show on LBC Radio. Since March 2014, Garraway has presented Mid Mornings with Kate Garraway, 10 am–1 pm on Smooth Radio.
